MerMay 2018: Purg

Personal project for #MerMay in 2018; merfolk versions of my original characters. The figures and props (including lighting effects) are drawn traditionally with ink, alcohol markers and white paint marker, while the simple background was made digitally.

This is Purg's portrait. Purg is a shapeshifting dragon, and their purple and black dragon form is partially inspired by snakes, with a very long neck and tail. So this merfolk version was based on an eel, an underwater creature with a similar silhouette.
