MerMay 2018: Griseldir

Personal project for #MerMay in 2018; merfolk versions of my original characters. The figures and props (including lighting effects) are drawn traditionally with ink, alcohol markers and white paint marker, while the simple background was made digitally.

This is Griss's portrait. Griss's glittering scales and flowing fins were influenced by salmon and lion fish.

Normally, he's a shape-shifting dragon who's eager to fit in with humans 🐉 So she'd be an Ariel type, geeking out about humans and collecting random items from dry land 📸"
